This is an awesome headset combo pac. Consider that most BT headsets cost more than this, and add the BT adaptor, the eye-glass holder, the wind block feature and the gain option. THIS THING ROCKS!!!!
I live in an area that is constantly windy, and I have to work outside. This combo pack has been a fantastic opttion, and after reading the directions before using it... I use it every day, I'm on the phone alot, and the batteries have not died on me yet. I've had it for about 2 weeks, and can't complain a lick.

Can't wear headphones at my job. Can wear Bluetooth earpiece, though. Looked for a way to be able to listen to podcasts and live radio while at work. I use the cardo (which carries a charge for more than 10 hours continuous use the way I use it) to transmit signal from a small Sangen radio (AM, FM, VHF TV 1-13)and a wonderful Olympus WS-320 recorder. Plug into a special 2.5 to 3.5 converter (found, after months, only at Radio Shack - required for the radio), with a short extension cord (the Cardo has to be about 10 inches from the radio in order for Bluetooth not to interfere with AM reception). I use a Motorola H300 ear piece because it is small, can turn the flashing blue off, and it runs for more than 30 hours on one AAA battery.
I have two of the Cardo units super glued one on top of the other so that I can run two or three days of continuous listening before having to recharge. Tried other brands. This is the best! (And it does work with any cell phone I've tried that has a 2.5 jack.)
If you are considering the H300 head set, please check out the Motorola site and locate the PDF regarding counterfeits. Be careful of the $14.00-priced units and other "amazingly good deals" - a good deal on an original can be found for around $20.00 - 30.00.

The device will not work with a 2.4 GHz cordless phone and may not work in general as a result of susceptibility to 2.4 GHz signals emanating from wireless routers, etc. Cardo technical support is no help.

After two weeks I gave up using it. Everyone I tried to talk to said they could not hear me, even with the gain setting on.

I bought this to be able to use with my 5.8 GHZ cordless phones at home. This allows me to use my Bluetooth headset with both my mobile phone and my home phone. It is very nice to not have any wires and to leave my headset on my ear and talk on whatever phone is necessary.
A couple of notes about my experience of using it with a landline phone:
- due to the features of the phone (not the adapter), the buttons on the headset are not able to pick up calls/end calls/mute the phone/etc. Everything is done using the handset. No biggie.
- after using the home phone, the adapter keeps a connection going with the headset for one minute. During this minute I am not able to use the headset with my mobile phone without first turning off the adapter. I went through the auto configure process and it didn't fix this. Not a biggie either.
This device was also much smaller than I expected.
