Product Description
Audiophiles have known for years that the power coming through the AC line is full of interference and line disturbances that degrade audio reproduction. With today's digital circuitry and especially with digital video, polluted AC power can cause poor quality sound and picture. The detrimental effects of dirty power cannot be removed by ordinary surge protectors. Monster's Clean Power Circuitry Stage 2 v.2.0 filters provide excellent AC power line noise rejection. This results in the best possible sound and picture from your components. You'll enjoy a more natural sound with increased dynamic range as well as the most vivid image possible. Mega surge protector January 21, 2010 B. Benson (Rehoboth, DE) Works great, has been protecting my 63" tv and 7 channel surround system just great... no problems, plenty of spaces left to hook up extra equipment.
Well worth the price. January 19, 2010 Doc Beech (Dallas Tx) I have used the same strip for well over a year now, and This not only allows me to monitor my power usage, it allows me to monitor the electrical grid. I have it hooked up to about a 5000 dollar home theater system and it has been flawless. The sound quality improved and the amp no longer hums with no sound input. I have a newer tv so there is no telling if it would have ever had noise or not, but I can tell you my speakers are shielded well and after multiple power outages, no a surge has hurt anything. this is a wonderful product i recommend to anyone who wants to protect his/her investment.
Discontinued April 13, 2009 D. Sepulveda (AZ USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Unit failed to provided power at any of outlets after 1yr of usage and still under warranty. No reported anomalies in electrical power or storms had taken place (Tucson AZ). Monster replaced with similar unit model (downgraded) which offered less power ports, no current LED display, and price considerably less than desired model. Monster reported original model discontinued. Good business practice would have provided customer with price difference since customer spent the additional cost to get extra functions for initial unit.
Power center failed March 10, 2009 T. R. Baker 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It looks like the power on button disconnected or separated from it's socket and it will no longer turn on. I thought at first it needed a reset but that wasn't the case. I don't think there was a major power surge because my other surge protector on my computer wasn't affected.
Admittedly I used the power on button daily to reduce power vampirism from the equipment when off but still, for this much money you'd think it wouldn't fail like this.
2 stars for working well for over a year before abject failure.
Love it but... March 3, 2009 Michael Fash I love Monster products but after 1 week of having this power strip the switched outlets (labeled DVD and Television) don't let enough power through to power my tv anymore. It worked fine then one day I came home from work and my tv had no power. I switched to one of the nonswitched outlets and I have power all day long with no issues. I have contacted Monster with no response yet. Other than that it is a Great product. If they warranty the item I will love Monster more.
