Product Description For Hookup of Electronic Components to AC Power Providing Monster Clean Power v2.0 and Surge Protection for AC Power Lines, Phone and Two DBS or Cable Sources. You Need to Protect our Components from Unstable AC Power The power condition in the U.S. is unstable. The AC power that runs your home theater is constantly in a state of flux. Sometimes there's too much voltage, sometimes not enough. Power can become so unstable that you can actually see it happening, like when the lights in your house suddenly begin flickering. during the worst case scenario, when your equipment turns back on, a power spike can be 200-300 volts. Your expensive electronic home theater components are extremely sensitive to ANYincrease in voltage, and can be severely damaged or destroyed by these unseen fluctuations in power. And, when it comes to surge protection, remember, IT'S ALL OR NOTHING... every possible pathway for surges (including coax and phone lines) must be protected. Monster PowerCenters Provide Maximum Protection The Monster Power Home Theatre PowerCenter HTS 850 is equipped with fast-acting , high-capacity Multiple SurgeGuard Circuitry which instantly detects any voltage surge or spike and immediately suppresses it BEFORE it can even reach your components. Plus, we've designed the HTS 850 with 2 sets of coaxial connections and 1 phone line so you can hook up your satellite receiver, cable box or HDTV antenna for total home theater sy

Great for any use! August 29, 2010 Michael (Kentwood, Michigan) This is a great product at a great price! I bought this for my TV and entertainment center. It is very easy to use and the color coding helps organize your cables. I have noticed a reduction of electrical interference since it was installed. The best part might actually be the separate mounting bracket. Installation is very easy...just two screws. The device then just snaps onto the bracket and you are good to go. I agree that trying to screw in the coaxial cables is a real pain, but that is the only issue I see. Overall, you can't get a better product at a better price than this. I will be buying a couple more for my computer and desk.
Surge Protector August 25, 2010 Russell Hollingsworth (Irving, TX, US) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered it, it came intact in a timely manner. It was what I expected and works the way I thought it would. It cost what it said it would.
What else can I say?
Works great for high end equipment to protect July 29, 2010 Kevin Braun (maryland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Easy set up, comes with stickers for wires making hook much easier, and provides good clean power to yourexpensive HD TV, Blu ray, and other items. Has many nicely spaced out plugs for all your equipment. All are nicely color coded and labeled. Nicest one I have ever seen and looks like good quality. I feel much better having my brand new expensive stuff hooked up through this now.
I'ts a Power Stripp March 3, 2010 Daniel Bailey (Georgia) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My existing surge protector had a very weak HD single for some reason, but it was 10 years old, and it's possible that this TV was on the last and longest cable run in the house. Purchased this unit over a $25 unit, and it works fine, weak single problem resolved, One item to note it did come with a high end RGB6 Coaxial cable, 3 feet, which runs around $8-10 if purchased, It may have come with a phone line too, but I can't remember. SO you factor in the cable and the fact that it might deliver 10% of what it promise, it's not a bad unit. I don't have the buzzing problem others have mention, and I have a number of items plugged into the unit, 52" TV, Receiver, DVD Player, playstation, and sub. I have a UPS pluged into another outlet on the same circuit, powering my Gigabyte switch, Homer server, wireless access point, and media player, all items are located in a built in. Oh, and the blue light is a bit annoying, I have the surger mounted to the back wall of my bult in, and had to arrnage my items to cover the light to the serge protector, its blinding.
Is it really worth it? January 21, 2010 A Garcia (California) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this becuase of the hype..Clean power equals better picture and sound. Sales guys say it does make a difference--real world answer for me at least is that I could not differentiate between my cheapie $15 surge protector and this Monster Cable PowerCenter. I dont think I would buy this again. Probably go with a cheaper version next time.
